The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Graphics Standards Manual was designed in 1975 by Richard Danne and Bruce Blackburn at their New York firm Danne & Blackburn.

The reissue is a 220-page hardcover book containing high-resolution scans of the original manual and features an introduction written by its designer Richard Danne. An essay by Christopher Bonanos of New York magazine details the history of the NASA seals, leading up to the 1992 rescinding of the iconic “Worm” logo at the center of the manual.

Very special thanks to our friends Richard and Barbara Danne for their generosity and support in bringing this modern design classic back to earth.

The book is printed in CMYK + 6 Pantone® spot colors

The reissue features the original slide presentation by Danne & Blackburn given to NASA in 1974
